Delta Ag enters into sale agreement with Elders Group of Companies

We are pleased to announce that today Delta Agribusiness (“Delta Ag”) has entered into an agreement to sell 100% of the shares in Delta Ag to Elders Limited (“Elders”). Completion of this acquisition is subject to customary conditions and ACCC clearance. This is expected to occur in the first half of calendar year 2025.

Delta Ag’s highly experienced leadership team and employees will remain unchanged across the business in line with Elders’ light touch integration strategy. So importantly, Delta Ag will continue to operate independently, and our brand, values, culture and our leadership team will remain in place.

Our clients will continue to receive the support and guidance from our experienced agronomy and advisory teams, along with the supply strength, stability, certainty and pricing that you know that we deliver today. 

As part of the transaction, Delta Ag shareholders have taken a substantial equity position in Elders, which will ensure that the team, many of whom are shareholders, will remain committed to the business moving forward and continue to strive to add value to our clients across the country.

Importantly, Elders has made a commitment to Delta Ag that the transaction will be a light touch integration consistent with its prior successful acquisitions. Delta Ag will operate independently to Elders and will retain its Board of Directors (with Mark Allison and Paul Rossiter to replace George Penklis and Gareth Banks). Doug Rathbone will remain Chair through the transaction and be appointed as Non-Executive Director post-completion.

The Senior Management team will remain the same, and importantly, the strong Delta Ag brand will be retained. It is imperative that the company maintains its quality people and culture and continues to operate as a dynamic and innovative business, to continue to add value to Australian farming families and regional communities.
